Four Seasons to host MITA Tech Talks 2012

The M.I.T.A. Institute (Mita Institute and Technology Accelerator) has scheduled its MITA Tech Talks 2012 Conference in Punta Mita, Mexico from November 28 to December 1, 2012. The focus area of the conference will be accelerating innovation, technology and entrepreneurship in Mexico and Latin America while bridging trans-national economic and academic interest with the United States and Canada.

The conference will lead to the expansion of entrepreneurship and tech incubation in Mexico and Latin America.

Lynne, Bairstow, co-founder of the MITA Institute, said “We are excited to host respected technology innovators, critical venture capitalists, and the most-promising new technology companies in Punta Mita,” she continued, “we are confident the conference will lead to the expansion of entrepreneurship and tech incubation in Mexico and Latin America.”

Several speakers planning to participate in the panel discussions and keynote presentations shall include:

  • Ernesto Cordero, former Finance Minister and current Mexico Senator
  • Kevin Rose, partner at Google Ventures
  • Tim Ferris, author and angel investor
  • Karen Richardson, partner at Silverlake Capital
  • David Feinleib, investor, advisor, entrepreneur and Forbes.com columnist
  • Ann Miura-Ko, Stanford Technology Ventures Program and partner at Floodgate Fund LP
  • Thomas Kineshanko, founder of Habitat Enterprises
  • Jose Pacheco G, professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  • Jeff Schumacher, managing partner at Wilshire-Axon (formerly Virgin Digital)

The conference will be sponsored collaboratively by DINE, master developer of Punta Mita, along with the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and St. Regis Punta Mita Resort. Founded by Lynne Bairstow, Brian Haley, Robin Reyes, Tom Serres, and Pablo Solano, the MITA Institute is a combination think tank and early stage technology incubator based in Punta Mita.
