“We’ve worked hard on promoting the whole coast of Nayarit, and although this data does not yet include the high season figures, when we see an increase in the flow of foreign visitors, the October figures indicate our work has paid off and that we're regaining confidence in international markets," said Marc Murphy, director of the CVB of Riviera Nayarit. Then he added that “no doubt this will gradually reflect on the economy of the people, because the tourism industry is the economic engine of Nayarit. It’s service industries, farmers and local producers, we all benefit”.

A special highlight of the survey was the significant increase of foreign visitors to the Municipalities of Compostela and San Blas. In Compostela, hotel room occupancy increased by 10% this year in comparison to October 2011 and in San Blas it rose by 3 %.

The Riviera Nayarit’s Convention and Visitors Bureau (CBV) is a non-governmental and non- profit association dedicated to tourism promotion in Nayarit. The organization works under the Association of Hotels and Motels of Bay of Banderas.

The perfect natural setting of Riviera Nayarit not only makes it a great vacation destination but also a great place to live in. Various world class developments are on the rise in the region adorning it with luxury and comfort. Such marvel of creations amidst natural scenic beauty is simply irresistible.
