The beautiful destination of Riviera Nayarit was treated to some of the finest moves in the recent Riviera Nayarit Salsa & Mambo Festival. The event was hosted by Marival Resort & Suites in Nuevo Vallarta from March 14-17, 2013. More than 600 participants flocked in from the United States and Mexico for the event.



The event featured dance classes and workshops, presentations of international dancers, games and contests. Exponent of the genre as Carlos Zafire, Tanja Kesinger, Zeke Ruvalcaba, Alien Ramírez, Mikel Font and El Tiguere del Mambo, among many others were a part of the event. It was open to the public who had the option to enjoy attend the whole event or just some of the shows, workshops and parties.

To showcase the best of talent, dance and DJ qualifiers were held in Ciudad Juarez, Guadalajara, Leon, Mexico City, Oaxaca and Veracruz. The participants from Bahia de Banderas marked the beginning of festival activities. The Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Riviera Nayarit left no stone unturned in the promotion of the festival. They support events which increase hotel occupancy rates and generate media coverage. Marc Murphy, Managing Director of the CVB of Riviera Nayarit informed that this strategy is instrumental in creating a niche in the tourism market.

The Riviera Nayarit’s Convention and Visitors Bureau (CBV) is a non-governmental and non- profit association dedicated to tourism promotion in Nayarit. The organization works under the Association of Hotels and Motels of Bay of Banderas.
 
Riviera Nayarit is a nearly 200 mile stretch of coastline located in the historical port of San Blas in the Mexican state of Nayarit. It has also has positioned itself to be the best golf destination in Mexico. The beautiful coastline and amazing water makes it a great surfing destination. The region is abode of natural beauty and a breathtaking place to relax and rewind.
