Lorena Ochoa To Grace The Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic 2013

The Punta Mita Gourmet and Golf Classic is an annual event that marks the celebration of world-class food, wine and golf. Organized by Four Seasons and St. Regis resorts, Punta Mita, and Riviera Nayarit, the 3rd edition of this event is taking place this year from April 11 – 14th.
This event not only lets you experience the best of local and international food and wine but also provides you with an opportunity to play on Jack Nicklaus' world-class golf courses.
The ‘Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic’ is fast becoming a renowned custom in the world of cuisines and golf. So much so, that this year, the chief guest at the event will be Lorena Ochoa, the LPGA legend and a former top female golfer in the world. On the first day of the event, she will head a golf workshop in which she will share her golfing techniques and also reveal the secrets for her tremendous success.

Festivities will comprise of gourmet meals and cooking courses conducted by world famous chefs and restaurateurs, wine and tequila tasting by renowned tequila masters and winemakers, exquisite carnivals, sunset sailing adventures, and also The Punta Mita Cup, which is a two-day golf tournament on the distinguished Jack Nicklaus signature golf courses, Bahia and Pacifico.
There will also be a series of competitions and contests for the guests to participate in like the ‘longest drive’ and ‘hole-in-one’ contests.
The Gourmet & Golf Classic will embrace an extraordinary list of talent from the world of wining and dining. Confirmed participants include Todd English, the celebrity chef and restaurateur; Fernando Trocca, the well-known Argentinean chef; Andrew Shotts, the owner of Garrison’s Confections; Tsuyoshi Murakami, chef and co-owner of the Kinoshita restaurant in San Paulo, Brazil; celebrated chef Enrique Olvera of Pujol in Mexico City; Abraham Salum, chef and owner of Salum restaurant in Dallas, Texas; Charlie Arturaola the notable sommelier and wine expert and Laura Catena, fourth generation Argentinean vintner.
There’s no doubt that this exceptional four-day event will beautifully bring together the best of both the worlds - Championship Golf and International Cuisine. In the last two years, more than 200 visitors from around the globe participated in this event and were thoroughly absorbed in the culture, sport, and the glory of this beautiful destination.
