Puerto Vallarta is blessed with a bounty of flora and fauna which makes it a special place in the entire region. Every year the Banderas Bay receives guests in the form of Humpback whales which makes for a spectacular show for us. But lately, these whales and many other aquatic animals are in danger due to increased human activity which affects their natural habitat. An environment group - Ecology and Conservation of Whales A.C. (ECOBAC) has come up with the 1st Ballenarte Whale Festival in Puerto Vallarta on January 8-11 in Puerto Vallarta and our beautiful Banderas Bay, which is visited every year by humpback whales and other marine mammals.

The event aims to raise the awareness regarding the subject of conservation of aquatic mammals like the humpback whale in Banderas Bay.
The First Ballenarte Conservation Festival will have many events such as a boat parade, photo exhibition, conferences, documentaries, bike rally, fundraising dinner and much more.
