Puerto Vallarta To Host Mexorc
Puerto Vallarta’s Bay of Banderas is the home of Puerto Vallarta Marina. It is a very popular destination for sailing along with Riviera Nayarit. Puerto Vallarta will be hosting the San Diego to Vallarta Race and after that Mexican Ocean Racing Circuit, or MEXorc. This international event which began in the 1960’s will be hosted in Puerto Vallarta on March 23 to 29, 2014 when the participants of the San Diego to Puerto Vallarta Yacht Race come to the shores of the Mexican Pacific Coast destination. MEXORC is regarded as one of the most important sailing events in the world.

This will be a busy time for sailing enthusiasts as Mexico Fleet Week will also be held during the same period. The events will have more than 500 participants taking part in the long and short races taking place in the Bay of Banderas Puerto Vallarta Marina - Las Caletas, Marietas Islands - Puerto Vallarta Marina. The week celebrates maritime sports in Mexico.

This year’s edition of San Diego to Vallarta Race is going to be very challenging as 25 boats will be competing. Two trimarans, Mighty Merloe and Orion will also be part of the fleet.
